Georgia VINE through VINELink is a custody-status and notification service based on records from participating agencies. It is not a single statewide jail roster, criminal case file, or certified discharge database. For Habersham, it matters because HCSO removed its public online inmate roster. VINE can provide a public-facing check or alert when the relevant feed contains the person.
Coverage must not be assumed from a name alone. County jail and state correctional information may appear through participating records, but federal BOP and ICE custody use different locators. A result reports the status supplied to VINE. It may not include bond terms, full charges, a sentence-completion order, transfer paperwork, or later supervision.

Habersham’s VINE role is a workaround, not a county-branded SAVIN site. HCSO removed its online inmate roster after scammers used roster data to identify and solicit money from inmates’ families. That removal makes Georgia VINE more useful as one of the few public-facing custody-change channels, but it does not make VINE complete.
